Jeff Burton picked up his second win of the season and tightened up the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup standings with his victory Saturday night in the Bank of America 500 at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
Burton drove his Richard Childress Racing AT&T Chevrolet to victory lane and in the process moved to second in the Chase standings only 69 behind leader Jimmie Johnson.
Burton also led all Fantasy Racing driver scores this weekend at Lowe's with 115.8 points. The Busch brothers were close behind, finishing third and fourth respectively with 87.4 and 84 fantasy points.
The big story was Kasey Kahne and his attempt to become the first driver in NASCAR history to sweep all the events in one season at Lowe's. Although a gallant effort, Kahne finished second behind Burton who decided to take no tires on his final pit stop. Kahne's stab at history brought home 90 points for R1 Fantasy League players.
